logo Rebranding and Visual Identity for "NEAT - marketing & communications" agency based in Toronto (Canada)

The project

The logo for NEAT, a marketing and communications agency based in Toronto, was developed following the company’s guidelines, which emphasized a clean and minimal aesthetic that reflects their professionalism and dedication to excellence. The main goal was to create a visual identity that not only represents simplicity but also captures the collaborative and organic workflow that defines the company. The project aimed to balance visual elegance with a message of dynamism and unity, fully aligning with NEAT’s values and essence.

The choice of shapes

The creation of the logo began with the development of three distinct initial drafts, each inspired by the concept of unity and interconnectedness. The aim was to visually represent the people, roles, and activities working together within the company to deliver optimal results to clients. The geometric shapes and visual composition were designed to reflect the fluidity and integration of different components, mirroring NEAT's cohesive and dynamic operations. After refining the concepts, a final solution was chosen that unites simplicity with depth.

The color palette

Initially, the color palette was based on NEAT’s institutional colors, which included shades of blue and green. However, during the creative process, the palette evolved to incorporate a vibrant red, which became the defining color of the brand. Red symbolically represents passion, strength, and energy—qualities that NEAT conveys through its services. The addition of this color helped create a strong, recognizable, and consistent visual identity that aligns with the company’s philosophy.

Font

For typography, Nunito Sans in Light and Extralight weights was selected. This font was chosen for its ability to convey elegance and lightness, qualities that align perfectly with the efficiency and attention to detail NEAT provides to its clients. The simplicity of the letterforms maintains a clean and modern aesthetic, making it ideal for a brand operating in the marketing and communications sector.

The final logo

The final result is a logo that combines precise geometric shapes and clean lines to convey a sense of order and professionalism, enriched by a fluid arrangement of elements that suggests adaptability and teamwork. The integration of colors and typography reinforces the brand’s message, highlighting NEAT’s passion and dynamism. The logo is a visual representation of the company’s mission: to deliver top-tier marketing and communication solutions through a collaborative and innovative approach.
